NEURO-PSYCHIATRY AWARENESS SESSION(CLASSES 5TH AND 6TH)
A special awareness session on Neuro-Psychiatry was organised on 9th December, 2025, for the students of Classes V and VI. The programme aimed to introduce young learners to the importance of emotional wellbeing, healthy thinking patterns, and the connection between the brain and behaviour in a manner that was age-appropriate, engaging, and inspiring. The school welcomed Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr. Sharda Snehi (MBBS – AIIMS Rishikesh, MD Psychiatry – MAMC Delhi), presently associated with the De-addiction Centre in Pragma Medical Institute, Bathinda, Punjab. Her session was thoughtfully designed for young minds. She shared simple explanations about how the brain influences emotions, how stress affects daily life, and how children can build strong mental habits through healthy routines, supportive friendships, and open communication. Her use of everyday examples helped the students relate easily to the topics discussed. The interactive moments—where students asked questions and participated in short discussions—added enthusiasm to the session. The session left students more aware of their thoughts and feelings, encouraging them to care for their mental wellbeing just as attentively as their physical health.
