Description: Leonara Speyer said, “ The trees are God’s great alphabet: with them he writes in shining green….. across the world his thoughts serene.” Josephites hope to live a green dream by participating in the ‘Tree-Plantation Drive’ on 5th August at Civil Station, Bathinda. This drive was undertaken in commemoration of 550th birth anniversary celebration of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The drive was inaugurated by honorable Deputy Commissioner of Bathinda, Mr. B. Srinavasan who planted the first tree along with Sr. Veena D’Souza, Principal, St. Joseph’s Convent School, Mr. Swaran Singh Sidhu (District Forest Officer) and Mr. Gurpal Singh Dhillon ( Range Forest Officer). 227 Josephites (including 47 NCC candidates) voluntarily planted the trees.
