Sure yet subtle, momentous yet imperceptible is the forward march of TIME, embracing changes as one link in a chain embraces another. Obeying its dictates, I deem it an honour to take over the mantle in the capacity of a Principal from my peerless predecessor Sr Veena.
The legacy of this great institution shines in its never ceasing quest for perfection. The onus is on us all to add more radiant colours to its lustre. I solicit the enthusiastic co-operation of all the faculty members, student fraternity, parents and well-wishers as we stand poised for new horizons.
If we intend to create new tomorrows, today has to be redefined. Herein lies the challenge of Progress. As Theodore Roosevelt said, “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground. The altitude you take should synchronize with the strength of your roots’’. Our core values and humanitarian approach should direct all our intents and purposes.
Change is paradoxically the only constant in life. The quintessential wisdom in the necessity of evolving anew cannot be overlooked, especially in the new world structure demanded by the Pandemic. At the onset, my focus shall be to ensure that all my students emerge unscathed – a better, stronger version of themselves. Providing a safe, conducive and future ready environment to each learner shall be my constant endeavour. With the support of Sisters, a highly experienced staff and all members and the entire Team at St Joseph’s, we shall script more gilded chapters in the glorious saga of St Joseph’s Convent School.
Let self-reliance and individual commitment guide everyone as we strive to live up to the words:
“Do not go where the path leads, go instead where there is no path and leave behind a trail’’
God bless you all.
