• Every student should carry daily with him/her the school diary.
  • The warning bell before class is a signal for all to go to their respective class rooms. This should be done in silence.
  • All pupils are expected to be present for assembly.
  • No child is permitted to leave the school premises without permission granted by the Principal/Headmistress only at the specific written request of the parents.
  • Students are expected to show respect to the members of the staff. They should stand up and greet them when they enter a class, as well as when they leave the classroom.
  • Students are expected to show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Refinement should distinguish every pupil of this school.
  • All should be habitually clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on all school days. A student who is slovenly dressed may not be permitted into the class room or may even be sent home.
  • During recess pupils are expected to leave the class room.
  • The Principal has the right to confiscate from the pupils books, newspapers, periodicals and other items which may be considered objectionable.
  • All students should speak English in the School.
  • Money should not be lent or borrowed nor should articles be exchanged among the students.
  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be started and no meeting, demonstration, party or picnic be held without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Presents to the members of the staff of any gathering in their honour also require the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Any pupil desiring to be exempted from P.T. or games must produce a doctor's certificate to the effect that he/she is physically unfit to take part in them.
  • Pupils are not permitted to attend parties, see cinema or go to friend's house on their way back home from school.
  • All pupils should carry their books in a canvas or leather bag. Aluminium suitcase is not allowed.
  • Proper care should be taken of the school property and no pupil should scratch or spoil desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the wall or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who has done it. Any one who sees something damaged should report the matter even if he/she does not know who has done it. No pupil should bring razor blades or any sharp instruments to school.
  • All letters or correspondence addressed to pupils are subject to scrutiny by the Principal.
  • The school is not responsible for articles or money lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles like an expensive watch, fountain pens, etc, to school. Pupils below class V should not wear wrist watches in the school.
  • Running, playing, shouting and whistling inside the school building is not permitted.
  • Parents/Guardians are not permitted to walk into class rooms or interview teachers during the class hours.
  • The name of the class and the section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all his/her belongings including bicycles.
  • The students should behave in a refined manner wherever they go; they should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should always greet their teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant and audible tone of voice wherever they meet them in school or outside.
  • Cycles must be kept locked and must be only at the cycle stand. No vehicle should be driven in the school campus.
  • Students who come to School escorted by servants should never leave before they arrive. In case of any delay, it should be reported to the school office.
  • Those who go home by themselves should reach home straight without loitering on the way. Students are warned not to buy anything especially eatables from street vendors. The school canteen supplies the required eatables.
  • All applications for certificate must be made in writing. These will only be issued 48 hours after receipt of the application.
  • Students will not take private tuitions from school teachers without the permission of the Principal.
  • Enrolment in St. Joseph's Convent School implies on the part of the pupil and parents, willingness to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
  • The Principal has the right to suspend or require the withdrawal of any pupil without having to state any reason provided that she is satisfied that such a step is necessary in the interest of the School.
  • “All lasting education first begins at home”. Parents are requested to check the diaries of the children at least once a week and ensure that instructions are being followed by their children properly.
