Industrial Visit (Class 7th)

On 11th of May 2024, students of Class 7 went on an educational journey to Kapurthala. The visit to the Rail Coach factory was a power pack of information. Our guide took us to various units associated with the manufacturing of rail coaches like shell shop, cutting and welding unit , furnishing and bogie unit . The wealth of information received by pupils piqued their curiosity. After travelling a distance of 15 km we reached Pushpa Gujral Science City which encompasses plethora of knowledge in a compact space. The students envisaged 3-D theatre, fast paced action experience in the flight Simulator and Laser show- a stupendous mix of sound and laser beams. The 25 minute film shown in the climate change theatre sensitized and urged the spectators to reduce their carbon footprints by following 3R'S and also by increasing the green belt. After eating the sumptuous Chinese cum Indian meal in the canteen, pupils explored the astounding galleries like Living Machine Gallery, science of sports gallery, mathematics fun zone, anti gravitation room and Virtual reality zone . Panorama on life through Ages gallery showcased the evolution of life from Big Bang to the present day through sensor based 2D and 3D live action models. It is said that every day we grow little more and a trip to such a prodigious place brought a quantum jump in the strides of our learners.
