BLOOD DONATION AWARENESS SESSION (CLASSES 8TH AND 9TH)

An awareness session on blood donation aimed at promoting the value of voluntary contribution to save lives was held on 24 July, 2025 for classes VIII and IX. The session was conducted by Dr. Anshul Gupta, Professor and Head of the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bathinda. During her talk, Dr. Anshul highlighted the urgent need for regular blood donation, dispelled common myths, and explained the eligibility and safety measures involved in the process. Her insights emphasized that even a single unit of donated blood can support multiple patients, making every donor a lifesaver. The session left a deep impression, inspiring students to view blood donation as a social responsibility and an act of compassion.
